Where you can gain the knowledge you need to be a better boater & angler. Or check out some cool art... to come
Now that your here, what are we all about ?
This is the brainchild of Captain Rob Thompson. Someone that has spent his entire life in the marine & fishing industry. So what you say. This has been my fulltime job since high school in the mid 90's. The knowledge you get is not the forum crap of weekend warriors spouting off what they think. This is the real deal you ask I'll tell. Call me and we will jump in on your boat and take you to the next level.
Join Captain Rob Thompson for a one on experience where I take you through your boat. From backing down a ramp, to vessel maintenance, to being a better angler. For tournament anglers we can go through your routine and find ways to improve your angling & move you up the leader board.
For the fly fishing angler we can start you from the beginning with learning how to cast or advance your skills to casting from a boat for fast action Albies. Private fly tying classes for fresh and saltwater flies is also available.

Having grown up on the water and living up and down the east coast from Maine to Florida I've met and known a lot of people that have passed down a wealth of knowledge. From working below zero to out running hurricanes in the Bahamas, it's time to come full circle and pass that on to you.

I'm Rob. A kid that grew up wanting to drop out of school and fish every day. In-stead I went to school for it and fished there to. Always taking my passion to the next level. Captain's school, getting on the water time and tonnage. Having my own fly fishing & light tackle charter business for 18 years while also working at boatyards becoming a certified mechanic.

Since moving to North Carolina 10 years ago I have seen the industry change and how hard it is to keep up with it. Let me help you navigate the ever-changing world of boating & professional angling. With a little help from some of my friends.

One of the biggest fears amongst new boaters. It's just something we all have to get over. After delivering boats from Florida to Maine and being on the road towing let's just practice together. I can meet you to go over the ins and outs. Plus, what can we do to simplify what you have going on. Setting up your dock lines to making winching easier and trailer maintenance.

Since working as a service advisor, I have found that not many people know what service is due and when. I have service reminders for each outboard manufacture and can come up with what you need for your ride.

You would not believe how many tournament anglers I deal with blow moving up the ranks from not knowing their boats. Let's get you knowing how to keep your boat working for you. Every boat owner gets their own multimeter to keep when we go through this program.
Are you a beginner and need help choosing what equipment is best for you? Your budget and how much you want to put into this are the only factors I need to put the right tools in your hands. From fly rods to bottom jigging to bass fishing. You get an unbiased answer putting you in the right direction.
Want to learn how fish and tie up rigs? We can sit down with you and show you how to from the very basics of putting line on reel to casting to knots like the Bimini Twist.
You get to the lake and your lost. Where do we go? This boat has all these gadgets. What do I do and when do I do it. I can go over the breakdown of fisheries biology and electronics with you. For more in-depth work with electronics like Active Target we know a guy!

This is where it all started. A little background for you so you so you know where I came from and what I've worked with. The short version.
